Who We Are Today

Now in our second decade of service, the Rotary Club of Batticaloa Heritage is a modest but highly committed club in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. We currently consist of 18 business and professional men and women who are united by a shared passion for community development, ethical leadership, and global fellowship.
Our members come from a range of fields—including medicine, education, business, law, engineering, public service, and civil society—bringing together a rich blend of skills and perspectives to tackle real challenges in our region.

Our Impact and Activities

Over the years, we have successfully undertaken and supported numerous projects in:  

• Education – providing school supplies, scholarships, and infrastructure support for under-resourced schools.
• Healthcare – organizing medical camps, health awareness programs, and maternal/childcare support.   
• Community Development – supporting clean water initiatives, women’s empowerment, and livelihood training.    
• Youth Engagement – mentoring and guiding youth through Interact and Rotaract initiatives.     
• Disaster Relief – responding to local emergencies and needs, particularly during floods and health crises.
